Liam Neeson heads up the crew as Hannibal, the brains of the operation, with Bradley Cooper as Face, UFC star Quinton "Rampage" Jackson filling in for Mr. T as B.A. Baracus, and District 9's breakout star, Sharlto Copley, inheriting the unhinged role of "Howling Mad" Murdock. Gangster's Paradise: Jerusalema---June 11

Synopsis


Inspired by a true story, 'Gangster's Paradise: Jerusalema' is an unflinching look into the crime, corruption and the transgressions of those looking to survive in the most crime-infested district of Johannesburg.



Starting off with simple smash and grabs, and petty crime, Lucky Kunene quickly graduates to more aggressive heists such as armed robbery and carjacking. Soon, Lucky realizes he needs a bigger score to fulfill his goals of making it big, and escaping from the slums, to a dream house by the sea. Kunene hatches an elaborate and violent plan to make his fortune - hijacking buildings from landlords of Johannesburg tenements by winning the favor of the tenants and then holding their rent hostage from the landowners. His high-profile real estate acquisitions attract the attention of the local police force who have no qualms about using unprovoked brutality to bring him down. His trouble with the law, coupled with an escalating war between a local drug lord, creates a tense standoff: both sides are closing in, and Kunene must stay one step ahead--or his empire, and his life, will come crashing down.

Synopsis

           Academy Award short listed documentary 'Living in Emergency: Stories of Doctors Without Borders', opens theatrically in New York & Los Angeles in May, 2010 followed by a limited expansion, co-distributed by Truly Indie and BEV Pictures. During the nomination process for the 82nd Academy Awards earlier this year, 'Living in Emergency' was among the 15 documentaries selected for the shortlist by the Documentary Branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Directed by Mark N. Hopkins (producer of 'Going Upriver: The Long War of John Kerry'), the feature-length film provides a rare inside look into the Nobel Peace Prize-winning Doctors Without Borders organization, marking the first time a film crew was granted unlimited and uncensored access to its field operations in war-torn Congo and post-conflict Liberia.

Synopsis

An underground lair serves as the point of inspiration for this deeply whimsical fantasy comedy (with echoes of Jodorowsky's Rainbow Thief) from French cause célèbre Jean-Pierre Jeunet (Amélie, The City of Lost Children). The locale is post-9/11 Europe. As arms dealers go head to head with one another in a series of violent skirmishes -- suggesting that an apocalyptic cataclysm may be lingering on the horizon -- the unfortunate Bazil (Dany Boon) still reels from the long-ago death of his father from a roadside bomb, an event that left him orphaned as a boy. Now employed in a low-paying job as a video-store clerk, and still trying to determine how he fits into the scheme of things, he gets hit by a stray bullet from a drive-by shooting and promptly lands in the hospital. Upon release, he finds himself broke and unemployed. Hope soon crops up, however, in the form of Placard (Jean-Pierre Marielle), an ex-convict living in a scrap dump with a motley group of social outcasts -- all of whom welcome Bazil with warmth, compassion, and hospitality.
